New Cancer Centre In Nottingham – News Update
We are delighted to report that progress on the new BMI Park hospital site in Nottingham is going well. The centre will provide chemotherapy, radiotherapy and have a dedicated oncology unit, treating patients from across the Nottinghamshire region and beyond.
Our dry-lining division have now got the first stages of the MF ceiling in place and work on areas requiring lay in grid ceiling systems are coming along well. Corridors now have smooth, freshly plastered walls. Other areas such as waiting rooms have also been worked on by our plastering contractors.
The photographs below show progress within the hospital development.
This partnership between BMI Park Hospital and Cancer Partners UK will provide many assets to the community including a more spacious chemotherapy unit. This will enable more cancer patients to benefit from the convenience of day case chemotherapy. The hospital will still provide dedicated overnight treatments for those who require it.
Executive Director at BMI Park Hospital, Ken Hay commented “…it is fantastic news for patients who will benefit from having access to all aspects of their cancer care in one place”.
More information on the development is available here on Private Healthcare UK and also here on This Is Nottingham.
The unit is expected to open in July 2012.
